Kotniz brand claim is “the jeweller of marine hardware”. Their products are considered pieces of jewellery which can be “worn” by luxurious yachts all over the world. Kotniz accessories for motor and sailing boats are sold to individual customers as well as big shipyards, mainly from Germany, France and other European countries. Over 95% of total production is made for export.
From the film school in Łódź to the yachting business
Sebastian Nietupski, the CEO of Kotniz and the President of the Polish Chamber of Marine Industry and Water Sports, had graduated from the Film School in Łódź. He decided, however, to come back to his home town to take up the reins the company. He also attended Company Management post-graduate studies at the Leon Koźmiński Academy in Warsaw. Sebastian admits that his thorough and varied education often comes in handy when taking key business decisions.
Podlaskie, and then the whole world
Kotniz thrives on the success of private shipyards. The elements produced in Zaścianki near Białystok, sail on every ocean in the world. In 2017, as the representative of the yachting industry of the region, Sebastian Nietupski received the Ambassador of the Regional Economy Award.
